Stoevelaar steals the show in Munich
Recyclers and suppliers of machinery and other recycling solutions are gearing up for IFAT 2024. The world’s largest recycling trade fair, taking place from 13 to 17 May, attracts many thousands of visitors. This year, Stoevelaar Machinery will once again be present with several showpieces.
The countdown has begun at Stoevelaar Machinery. Final preparations for IFAT 2024 are underway at both the office and the workshop in Stegeren. Once again, the company will be represented in Munich with a large team.
Just like two years ago, Stoevelaar Machinery will be located on the vast outdoor exhibition grounds of Messe München. “There is plenty of space there, allowing visitors to view and experience our machines from every angle,” says Erjen Stoevelaar.
Teaming up with Wolf
A powerful engine, seriously powerful.
The WOLF shredder is built on a robust crawler track system and is equipped with a powerful CAT C18 engine delivering approximately 765 HP (Stage V emissions standard). The shredder can be used for a wide range of materials, such as metal, scrap, and wind turbine blades. It features a spacious, well-lit engine compartment, allowing for easy and fast maintenance.
Maintenance and operation are further simplified thanks to the reduced number of components. In addition, the shredder is fitted with an extra-strong rotor housing for processing the toughest materials, specially designed rotors with curved blades, and a reinforced gearbox.
The discharge conveyor is equipped with durable steel cords and a quick-release system for fast and easy disassembly. A complete CAN bus system, which can be read and programmed remotely, completes the machine.
Various configurations
Powerful star screen
The H2Protech MSS-9K 3F, a powerful vario star screen, will also be showcased in Munich. H2Protech has developed a unique three-fraction star screen with continuously adjustable screening sizes. The MSS-9K features a diesel-electric drive system. A highly soundproof diesel engine with an output of approximately 100 HP, combined with an electrical power of around 80 kVA, drives the electric motors. The Doosan diesel engine, equipped with a reversible fan, offers an efficient fuel consumption of just 7–8 litres per hour.
During the design of the screen, great emphasis was placed on robustness, accessibility, and ease of operation. The screen, which can also be integrated into a processing line, is designed for use with shredders featuring a priority shutdown function. This effectively prevents the screen from becoming clogged.
A strong combination
How it works
The material is fed from the discharge conveyor of the pre-shredder into the large infeed hopper. The dosing drum then evenly distributes the screening material across the upper screening deck. Here, the oversized fraction is screened out, discharged onto the return conveyor, and fed back to the pre-shredder. The middle fraction and the finest fraction fall through the upper deck onto the lower screening deck.
The size of the middle fraction can be continuously adjusted, for example between 50 and 100 mm or 80 and 160 mm. The lower (finest) screening deck then further separates the fine fraction from the middle fraction and discharges it via a separate conveyor. Thanks to its well-engineered design, it is also possible to recirculate the screened fine fraction back into the middle fraction. Large screening areas of approximately 10 m² (upper deck) and 9 m² (lower deck) ensure maximum throughput with excellent screening results.
